IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s Directive: Weekly General Parades Held Across Province, Including Lahore.

On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were held across the province including Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the general parade, while the contingents participating in the parade presented a salute. Officers and personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, Investigation Wing, and Operations Wing police stations participated in the general parade with full enthusiasm. Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the parade, senior officers also checked the turnout of the officers and personnel participating in the parade. Smart and well-prepared contingents of the personnel taking part in the general parade performed an impressive march past, while female personnel also participated in the general parade. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that general parades are being held regularly every Monday across the province. On this occasion, district officers also inspected the Kot, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouse, and other relevant departments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep personnel alert at all times and to promote an atmosphere of discipline, unity, and brotherhood among them. He said that a parade is the best manifestation of the discipline, history, heritage, and tradition of any force. Through general parades, officers and personnel maintain their fitness, which further improves the overall performance of the police force.
