IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directions: Weekly General Parades Across the Province
Senior police officers inspected the General Parade, while the participating contingents presented salutes.
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly General Parades were held across the province, including Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the General Parade, while the participating contingents presented salutes. Personnel and officers from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, Investigation Wing and Operations Wing police stations participated fully in the General Parade.
Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the parade, senior officers also checked the turnout of the participating officers and personnel. The smart and well-prepared contingents taking part in the General Parade presented an impressive march past, while female personnel also participated in the General Parade. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that General Parades are being held regularly every Monday across the province. On this occasion, district officers also inspected the Kot, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses and other relevant sections.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the General Parade is to keep personnel alert at all times and to promote discipline, unity and an atmosphere of brotherhood among them. He said that a parade is the best manifestation of the discipline, history, heritage and traditions of any force. Through the General Parade, officers and personnel maintain their fitness, which further improves the overall performance of the police force.
