IG Punjab Orders Strict Implementation of Protocols at Special Initiative Police Stations and Khidmat Marakaz.
IG Punjab Prioritizes Cleanliness, Maintenance, IT Systems and Citizen Facilities at Police Stations.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office during which a comprehensive review was carried out of cleanliness, maintenance, upkeep and compliance with prescribed protocols at Special Initiative Police Stations and Khidmat Marakaz. DIG R&D Fawad-ud-Din Qureshi and AIG Complaints Ahmad Mohi-ud-Din attended the meeting, while RPO Sahiwal Ayaz Saleem, RPO D.G. Khan Azhar Akram, Deputy Commandant PC Syed Muhammad Ameen Bukhari and Commandant Police Training School Multan Gohar Mushtaq Bhutta participated via video link.
IG Punjab directed that timely maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of equipment at police stations and Khidmat Marakaz located in D.G. Khan and Sahiwal regions be ensured. He said that IT systems at police stations and Khidmat Marakaz should be kept fully functional, biometric attendance of staff must be ensured, and all records should be securely maintained and updated. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed all SHOs to remain present at police stations daily from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm to listen to citizens’ complaints and ensure their prompt resolution. Furthermore, IG Punjab ordered further improvement of facilities for citizens at Traffic Licensing and Driving Centers and said that the ongoing awareness campaign regarding amended traffic laws should be accelerated so that public awareness about the law may be enhanced.
