IG Punjab Directs All SHOs to Address Citizens’ Complaints Between 3 and 5 PM.

An important meeting was held at the Central Police Office Lahore under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The meeting conducted a detailed review of the overall performance, maintenance, and implementation of prescribed protocols at Special Initiative Police Stations and Khidmat Marakaz. DIG R&D Fawad-ud-Din Riaz and AIG Complaints Ahmad Mohi-ud-Din were present in the meeting, while RPO Sheikhupura DIG Athar Ismail Amjad and Deputy Commandant Punjab Constabulary Syed Muhammad Ameen Bukhari participated via video link. IG Punjab directed that police stations and Khidmat Marakaz in Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Nankana Sahib ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of equipment. He emphasized that IT systems in police stations and Khidmat Marakaz must be fully functional, biometric attendance of staff ensured, and records maintained securely. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar instructed all SHOs to remain present at their respective police stations daily from 3 PM to 5 PM, listen to citizens’ complaints, and ensure their timely resolution. The meeting also highlighted the need to further improve facilities at Traffic Licensing and Driving Centers for citizens. IG Punjab directed that awareness campaigns regarding amended traffic laws should be accelerated to ensure effective compliance.
