In a tragic incident, an SPU vehicle collided with a train within the limits of Sargodha Cantt Police Station, resulting in the martyrdom of two police personnel and injuries to three others.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the DIG SPU.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, has taken notice of the tragic incident in which an SPU vehicle was hit by a train within the jurisdiction of Sargodha Cantt Police Station, resulting in the martyrdom of two police personnel and injuries to three others. He has sought a detailed report from the DIG SPU. The IG Punjab paid rich tribute to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and stated that the Punjab Police will not leave the families of its martyrs alone, and that the best possible welfare of the martyrs’ families remains its top priority. He also directed that the injured police personnel be provided with the best possible medical treatment. According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, the martyrs have been identified as Constable Aman Ullah and Constable Muhammad Sibtain, while the injured personnel include Head Constable Muhammad Awais, Constable Abrar, and Driver Constable Ziafat. The spokesperson further stated that the SPU personnel were performing routine patrol duty when their vehicle was struck by the train. Upon receiving information about the incident, a heavy police contingent immediately reached the spot.
