IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Chairs Meeting on Seniority, Service Structure, and Promotion Matters of Legal Inspectors
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office, Lahore, to review matters related to the seniority, service structure, and promotions of Legal Inspectors. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Welfare & Finance Imran Arshad, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, AIG Legal Asif Ali Sheikh, and Deputy Director Registrar Humair Ahmad Qureshi. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the seniority, service structure, and a uniform promotion mechanism for Legal Inspectors. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Legal Officers are the backbone of Punjab Police in legal and judicial affairs. He added that upgrading their service structure, improving their welfare, and enhancing their professional capabilities are among the top priorities of Punjab Police. The meeting also included consultations on finalizing a uniform procedure for promotions. IG Punjab further said that new posts of SP Legal and DSP Legal will be created to strengthen the legal framework of Punjab Police, ensuring improved legal affairs and enhanced overall police performance.
