Performance report for November 2025 issued; 409 proclaimed offenders and court fugitives arrested.
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) is actively engaged across the province in serving, protecting, and ensuring compliance with laws on the highways. Continuing this commitment, PHP has issued its performance report for November 2025. Sharing details, the spokesperson for Punjab Police said that PHP, through the e-Police Post App, arrested 409 proclaimed offenders and court-declared fugitives. Across the province, 252 stolen vehicles and motorcycles were recovered. Legal action was taken against 47,131 overloaded vehicles for axle-load violations. Action was taken against 1,421 vehicles for the illegal use of gas cylinders. For the convenience of citizens, 20,579 driving licenses were issued. PHP reunited 24 missing children with their parents, while 2,732 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed to improve the flow of traffic. Assistance and guidance of various types were provided to 22,288 passengers on highways. At police service centers, 18,940 citizens were provided different policing services.
Twenty cases were registered for illegal weapons, and from the possession of the accused, 02 rifles, 18 pistols, and hundreds of rounds were recovered. Similarly, from drug peddlers, 886 liters of liquor, 940 grams of charas, and 58 grams of opium were seized. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the excellent performance of PHP and directed that officers and personnel perform their duties with sincerity, hard work, and responsibility for the smooth flow of traffic and the service and protection of citizens.
