Family of martyred Constable Rashid Mahmood given a house worth Rs 13.5 million
House provided to the martyr's family in Rahim Yar Khan through special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar
Punjab Police remains committed to providing accommodation to the families of its brave martyrs. The family of Constable Rashid Mahmood, who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty, has been given a house worth Rs 13.5 million. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the house has been purchased in a private housing society in Rahim Yar Khan, in accordance with the preferences of the martyr’s family.
Through the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released funds for the provision of this house. It is worth mentioning that Constable Rashid Mahmood embraced martyrdom in 2024 when dacoits opened fire in the Kacha area. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, and a sister. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Constable Rashid Mahmood, stating that he laid down his life while performing his duty with dedication and courage. He added that Punjab Police will never forget the immortal sacrifice of its brave son. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that Punjab Police is the custodian force of more than 1,700 martyrs like Constable Rashid Mahmood, and the welfare of their families remains its top priority.
