Central Police Office Lahore: Important meeting chaired by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar

A detailed review of traffic flow, challaning matters, repatriation of illegally residing foreigners, arrest of extremist proclaimed offenders, and verification processes was conducted.

An important meeting was held at the Central Police Office Lahore under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. The meeting reviewed in detail the province-wide law and order situation, traffic management, challaning matters, dispute resolution, repatriation of illegally residing foreigners, and other key issues. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Special Branch Rao Abdul Kareem, Additional IG Investigation Branch Punjab Shahzada Sultan, Additional IG Operations Punjab Muhammad Ali Naikokara, Commandant PC Hussain Habib Imtiaz, Commandant Police School of Intelligence Mahboob Rasheed, AIG Operations Punjab Zahid Nawaz Marwat, and AIG Admin & Security Dr. Asad Ijaz Malhi. The DIG Traffic Punjab, all RPOs, CPOs, DPOs, CTOs, SSPs and SPs Investigation also participated via video link.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar conducted a detailed review of challaning matters, improvement of traffic flow, repatriation of illegally residing Afghan nationals and other foreigners, arrest of extremist proclaimed offenders, performance of Dispute Resolution Committees, and verification of mosque imams. The IG Punjab appreciated the services of outgoing RPOs, the CPO Gujranwala, and DPOs. He also extended good wishes to the newly appointed regional and district officers and instructed them to perform their duties with utmost responsibility.

Dr. Usman Anwar, in consultation with the prosecution, issued strict instructions for the early completion of pending challans and ensuring the accurate and uniform entry of data. The IG Punjab said that the immediate arrest of miscreants involved in sabotaging law and order must be ensured at all costs. He appreciated the performance of the DPO Sialkot, RPO and CPO Multan, RPO and DPO Sheikhupura, and officers of several other districts. The IGP instructed that citizens be thoroughly informed about the amended traffic laws, while also underscoring the need for optimal utilization of artificial intelligence, CCTV surveillance, and drone technology to enhance traffic management. He directed that the process of repatriating illegally residing Afghan nationals and other foreigners be expedited across Lahore and the entire province. He also commended Rawalpindi Police for their excellent performance in this campaign. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that every possible effort be made to resolve disputes brought before the Dispute Resolution Committees with the mutual consent of the parties, so that the public may be provided timely justice and relief.
