Study Tour: NIPA Trainee Officers Visited Central Police Office, Meet IG Punjab.
Punjab Police’s Modern Infrastructure and Public Service Delivery Explained in Detailed Briefing.
Under the Inland Study Tour Program organized by the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), trainee officers today visited the Central Police Office in Lahore. The delegation included 14 Additional District and Sessions Judges from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with other trainee officers. The delegation met with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat gave a detailed briefing on Punjab Police’s infrastructure, technology-based policing, public service delivery projects, and field formations.
Additional IG Operations Punjab, Muhammad Ali Naikokara, said that Punjab Police is ensuring the provision of modern, fast, and transparent services to citizens, alongside crime control. He mentioned successful projects such as Tahaffuz Centers, Khidmat Marakaz, Meesaq Centers, and Foster Homes that are helping and protecting vulnerable communities. DIG Training Munir Ahmad Zia told the delegation that Punjab Police has adopted modern training standards, the use of advanced resources, and public-centered policing as its core values, resulting in significant improvements in performance and public service delivery. During the study tour, souvenirs were exchanged between the delegation and Punjab Police. The visiting officers were also given a tour of the Punjab Police Museum and other departments at the Central Police Office.
