Punjab Police athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the World Powerlifting Championship 2025.
Police athletes secured 4 gold and 1 silver medal, while the IG Punjab congratulated the athletes on their achievement.
Punjab Police athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the World Powerlifting Championship 2025 held in Colombo, winning a total of five medals. Top athletes from around the world participated in the event. According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, the athletes secured four gold and one silver medal. Inspector Irum Khanum won two gold medals with an excellent performance in the 84kg category. Head Constable Majeed Dogar dominated the Master Three category, winning two gold medals, while Constable Azeem Gujar won a silver medal for his impressive performance in the Senior category.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the athletes for winning medals at the World Powerlifting Championship and bringing honor to the Punjab Police Department. He stated that Punjab Police sports teams are continuously achieving success at national and international levels. Dr. Usman Anwar added that athletes winning medals at the international level are the pride of Punjab Police, and efforts for their support and encouragement will continue. Director General Pakistan Police Sports Board, Additional IG Imran Arshad, and Chief Sports Officer DIG Athar Ismail Amjad also appreciated the performance of the winning athletes and paid them tribute.
