Punjab Police Intensify Crackdown on Organized Gangs Across the Province
During the last 24 hours, 20 members of 9 gangs were arrested; weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, cash, and other items recovered.
Punjab Police, including Lahore, continue robust operations against organized criminal groups across the province. As part of these actions, 20 members of 9 gangs were arrested during the last 24 hours. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 95 weapons, including Kalashnikovs, pistols, rifles, revolvers, and shotguns, along with hundreds of rounds were recovered from the possession of the accused. The spokesperson further said that during the operations, 482 proclaimed offenders, 210 court absconders, and 78 habitual criminals were arrested. During different operations, the police also recovered 9 motorcycles, 13 mobile phones, 9 cattle, and cash amounting to 13 million rupees. In effective actions against criminal elements, 2 criminals were brought to justice, while 2 others were arrested in injured condition. The IG Punjab has directed that operations against criminal elements across the province be intensified further.
