Following the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police's anti-narcotics operations continue across the province under the Drug-Free Punjab Vision. Punjab Police Spokesperson, providing details, said that 158 raids were conducted on drug dealers' dens during the last 24 hours, and 78 drug dealers were arrested during the operations. The following narcotics were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects: 55 kg of Charas, 5 kg of Ice, 9 kg of Heroin, and 448 liters of Alcohol (Liquor). IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers should be further intensified across the province. IG Punjab said that all accused involved in the supply chain must be brought to justice and given severe punishments. Dr. Usman Anwar further added that actions against individuals involved in drug peddling in the vicinity of educational institutions and hostels must be accelerated to protect the youth from the menace of drugs.
