IG Punjab chaired an important meeting on Development schemes, Infrastructure, Technology and other professional measures at CPO Lahore.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office Lahore to review police development and progress projects. The meeting reviewed in detail the police development projects, summary matters, and progress in various ongoing projects. The meeting also discussed matters related to the provision of funds for infrastructure, transport, logistics, arms and ammunition, and modern technology. On this occasion, the ongoing progress on the upgradation of police lines, inter-provincial check posts, training schools and colleges, smart safe cities, Special Branch, and police offices was also reviewed in detail. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that the pace of work on smart police stations, safe cities, and other ongoing development projects be further accelerated. He said that the timely completion of the police development schemes included in the annual development program is the top priority of the police department. IG Punjab also instructed to improve coordination among the concerned departments and ensure timely provision of funds for development projects. The meeting was attended by DIG Telecommunication and Transport Imran Ahmar, DIG SPU, Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIGs Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, Abdullah Lak, and Nida Umar Chattha, while Additional IG South Punjab Kamran Khan, DIG Traffic Punjab Waqas Nazir, DIG CTD, and other relevant officers participated in the meeting via video link.
