LAHORE - Participants of the ASEAN (ASEAN) Member States’ Capacity-Building Conference visited the Central Police Office (CPO) Lahore and met Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar. During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on Punjab Police’s modern infrastructure, crime control mechanisms, service delivery reforms, and current challenges. The delegation also visited various sections of the Central Police Office, including the Punjab Police Museum, Shuhada & Ghazi Walls. Punjab Police presented souvenirs to the ASEAN conference participants, while MD Safe Cit-ies Authority, Ahsan Younas, presented a special shield to the IG Punjab on behalf of the de-partment. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that cooperation in security and safety matters between ASEAN member countries and Punjab Police has further strengthened. He added that the ASEAN conference included special sessions on AI-based policing, smart surveillance, and traffic management.
