Lahore - Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has approved the release of over Rs. 3.015 million for medical assistance to police employees and their families, reinforcing the department’s continued focus on health and welfare. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, constable Irfan Ali has received Rs. 500,000 for treatment of a serious illness, while constable Muneeb-ur-Rehman has been granted Rs. 300,000 for knee surgery. Head constable Atta Muhammad and senior traffic warden Muhammad Naveed have each been provided Rs. 250,000 for medical expenses. Sub-inspector Muhammad Ashraf has been issued Rs. 200,000 for hernia treatment. Constables Hameed Akhtar, Zeeshan Akram, Sabir Hussain, traffic wardens Baqar Raza, Shaman Ali, and security constable Muhammad Asif Rasheed have each been given Rs. 100,000. Senior traffic warden Abid Hussain and head constable Muhammad Umair have also received Rs. 100,000 each. Retired inspector Muhammad Siddique, inspector Muzaffar Khan, and sub-inspector Waqar Younas were similarly granted Rs. 100,000 each. Additionally, constables Muhammad Faheem and Kashif Muneer were issued a combined Rs. 275,000, while senior traffic warden Babar Rasool and constable Ghazanfar Abbas jointly received Rs. 140,000.The IG approved these funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. He reaffirmed that Punjab Police is committed to providing quality healthcare to its workforce and their families through various institutional partnerships and welfare initiatives.
