35th National Games 2025: 573 Punjab Police Athletes Set to Participate
Pakistan Olympic Association’s 35th National Games, scheduled for December 6–13, 2025, are moving into the final stages of preparation. DG Pakistan Police Sports Board, Additional IG Imran Arshad, chaired a meeting of patrons and provincial directors to review arrangements. The meeting was attended by DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG SPU, Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Admin and Security, DPO Sialkot, and other senior officers. The agenda included detailed discussions on the security, training camps, accommodation, food, welfare, and medical facilities for police teams participating in the National Games. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, with the approval of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the National Police Sports Board logo and a common WhatsApp platform have been introduced to ensure effective communication and coordination among all teams.
Chief Sports Officer/RPO Sheikhupura Athar Ismail Amjad said that a contingent of 573 Punjab Police athletes will participate in 32 different sports at the National Games in Karachi. He emphasized that athletes’ discipline, code of conduct, travel, boarding, lodging, nutrition, and medical support are being fully ensured. He further added that the Punjab Police athletes are highly motivated and expected to perform even better than last year. Under the guidance of IG Punjab, all necessary resources are being provided to support their sporting development. Focal persons have been appointed to ensure effective coordination with patrons, managers, and coaches from all provinces during the National Games.
DIG Karachi assured that the Sindh government, along with Punjab and other provinces, will provide full support and facilities to the police teams. Representatives from all provinces, including Additional IG South Punjab, Chief Sports Officer/RPO Sheikhupura, DIG Traffic Karachi, Deputy Director Sports Balochistan Police, Director Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Additional IG Jawad Dogar, SSP Investigation Lahore, DPO Khanewal, and Gilgit-Baltistan, participated via video link.
