Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, is determined for the health welfare of the families and children of his employees. In continuation of this commitment, additional funds amount to Rs 2.45 million have been released for the treatment of children of police employees suffering from serious illnesses in Lahore and various other districts. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details, shared that: ASI Imdad Ali has been granted Rs. 600,000 for his daughter’s spinal treatment. Driver Constable Naveed Qaiser has been provided Rs. 500,000 for his daughter’s leg and arm surgery. ASI Muhammad Asif has been approved Rs. 250,000 for his son’s pneumonia treatment. Lady Constable Shumaila Noshi has been granted Rs. 250,000 for her son’s hearing treatment. Retired DSP Ghulam Mujtaba and Constable Naveed Ullah have been provided Rs. 100,000 each for their children’s treatment. DSP Faisal Kamal, Traffic Warden Muhammad Younas, Driver Constables Arshad Ali and Naveed Arshad have been issued funds amounting to a total of Rs 275,000.
DSP Waseem Afzal, ASI Muhammad Farooq, Head Constable Asad Hussain, and Ghazi Constable Nasir Ahmed have been granted a total of Rs 375,000 for the treatment of their children. IG Punjab released these funds for the treatment of employees’ children after scrutiny and approval by the Welfare Management Committee. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the best welfare of the families of police employees, who are engaged in protecting the lives and properties of citizens, is the top priority of Punjab Police. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Poet of the East, Architect of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, (ra) Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid a visit to Iqbal’s Mausoleum. IG Punjab offered a floral wreath at Iqbal’s Mausoleum, recited Fatiha and paid tribute to the Poet of the East. Dr Usman Anwar presented salutes at the mausoleum and penned his impressions in the visitors’ book. On this occasion, IG Punjab said that the poetry of Allama Iqbal r.a. infused a new spirit of passion and enthusiasm for the struggle for freedom among the Muslims of the subcontinent. His thoughts, poetry and lesson of justice are a beacon for Punjab Police.
