Additional Rs. 2.145 Million released for Police Personnel’s Medical Assistance.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, reaffirmed his commitment to the health and welfare of police personnel and their families. Continuing these welfare initiatives, Punjab Police has released an additional Rs. 2.145 million to support the medical treatment of serving and retired employees and their dependents. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, Constable Nisar Ahmad was granted Rs. 500,000 for his wife’s cancer treatment. Retired Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir received Rs. 450,000 for medical expenses, while retired Sub-Inspector Arif Gujar and ASI Jibran Safdar were each provided Rs. 250,000 for treatment. Similarly, Head Constables Nabeel Ahmed and Muhammad Ashraf Khan were granted Rs. 200,000 each, whereas Constables Muhammad Atif and Muhammad Imran collectively received Rs. 195,000. Head Constable Basharat Aziz and Naib Qasid Muhammad Ali were also granted a combined amount of Rs. 100,000 for medical assistance. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar approved the release of funds following scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. He said that Punjab Police, under various MOUs with healthcare institutions, continues to provide the best possible medical facilities to its employees and their families.
