October 2025 Performance: 560 Wanted Criminals and Fugitives Arrested via E-Police Post App.
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) continues to operate actively across the province to serve and protect citizens and ensure enforcement of laws on highways. In this regard, PHP has released its performance report for October 2025. According to Punjab Police spokesperson, in October, PHP arrested 560 wanted criminals and court fugitives through the E-Police Post App on highways. A total of 280 stolen cars and motorcycles were recovered across the province. Legal action was taken against 47,391 overloaded vehicles for exceeding axle load limits. Additionally, action was taken against 1,360 vehicles for illegal use of gas cylinders. For public convenience, 19,863 driving licenses were issued. Forty-one missing children were reunited with their parents, and 4,538 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed to improve traffic flow. A total of 20,666 passengers were assisted and guided on highways, while 17,685 citizens received various policing services at Police Khidmat Marakaz. Thirty-eight cases were registered for illegal use of weapons, resulting in the seizure of 2 Kalashnikovs, 3 rifles, 33 pistols, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from the accused. From drug dealers, 1,380 liters of liquor, 4,380 grams of hashish, and 3,600 grams of opium were recovered. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the PHP for their excellent performance. He directed police officers to continue performing their duties with diligence and sincerity to ensure smooth traffic flow, citizen service, and public safety.
