Evacuation of Illegal Foreign Nationals Continues Across Punjab.

Punjab Police Deports 21,948 Illegal Foreign Residents from the Province So Far. Punjab Police Spokesperson

The process of evacuating foreign nationals illegally residing across Punjab is continuing at a rapid pace. Sharing the details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that so far, 21,948 illegal foreign residents, including Afghan nationals, have been deported, while 3,464 illegal residents are currently present at various holding points. Among the deported individuals are 7,671 men, 4,765 women, and 9,521 children. Punjab Police spokesperson further shared that those deported include 6,025 individuals holding Proof of Residence, 10,874 Afghan Citizen Card holders, and 5,049 illegally residing foreigners. To organize the evacuation process across Punjab, 5 holding centers have been established in Lahore, while a total of 46 holding centers are operating throughout the province. Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that security across the province remains on high alert, and evacuation of all illegally residing individuals is being ensured. IG Punjab added that Punjab Police is implementing the policy of deportation of illegal foreign residents in accordance with international laws, while ensuring full consideration of human rights throughout the entire process.
