Historic Promotions in Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP), 246 Officers Promoted to the Rank of T/ASI

Punjab Highway Patrol organized a formal rank pinning ceremony at its Lahore Headquarters for officers promoted to the post of T/ASI. The event was organized to honor the personnel promoted under the P-Cadet Scheme through the Punjab Public Service Commission examination. This marks a historic moment in the 21-year history of Punjab Highway Patrol, as departmental promotions of this scale were held for the first time, promoting 246 head constables and constables to the rank of T/ASI. DIG PHP Dr. Muhammad Athar Waheed pinned ranks on the newly promoted officers, while 21 police officers from PHP Lahore Region also received their promotion ranks. The ceremony was attended by the parents, children, and families of the promoted officers in large numbers.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and DIG PHP Dr. Athar Waheed extended heartfelt congratulations to all promoted officers and their families. IG Punjab said that the promoted officers should maintain close coordination with the constabulary, address their concerns, and focus on their professional grooming. He further said that promotions, welfare, and motivation must translate into selfless public service. A zero-tolerance policy against corruption and misconduct should be upheld, and officers must continue to serve the public with exemplary behavior and dedication. DIG PHP Dr. Athar Waheed expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for their continued support of the Punjab Highway Patrol Department. The ceremony was attended by SP Headquarters PHP Dr. Anam Faryal Afzal, Regional Officer Lahore Region SP Fatah Ahmad, Deputy Director PHP Ghulam Mohiuddin, and other officers.
