Punjab Police Rajanpur conducted another successful operation and safely rescued 5 kidnapped citizens. Punjab Police spokesperson provided details, stating that in the Kacha Circle Bangla Achha area, Rajanpur Police came face-to-face with robbers. The robbers were abducting 5 local citizens and taking them toward their hideout when the police took timely action, pursued the robbers, surrounded them, and engaged in an encounter. Heavy firing took place from both sides. DPO Rajanpur shared that the robbers had taken refuge in a sugarcane field. During the operation, the police arrested 7 facilitators of the robbers. However, due to the dense sugarcane crop, the robbers managed to escape from the scene. Their search and pursuit are ongoing. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended all officers and personnel who participated in the operation for the safe rescue of the kidnapped citizens.
