Punjab Police Athletes Achieve Outstanding Success at National Wushu Championship
Police athletes won 10 medals in the 25th National Wushu Championship 2025
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commends athletes for their remarkable performance
Punjab Police athletes showcased an exceptional performance at the 25th National Wushu (Kung Fu) Championship 2025, securing 10 medals and bringing honor to the Police Department. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson said the championship saw participation from 10 teams across the country, including Army, WAPDA, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Punjab Police athletes excelled, winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 8 Bronze medals. Police athlete Muhammad Umair won the Gold Medal, while Saboor Ahmad achieved Silver Medal. The Bronze Medal winners include Muhammad Khalil, Tariq Mehmood, Muhammad Sadiq, Atiq-ur-Rehman, Mazhar Ullah, Munir Ahmad, Rahat Ullah, and Shahbaz. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while congratulating the medal-winning athletes, said that Punjab Police sports teams are consistently achieving success at the national and provincial levels. He said that the athletes winning medals in national games are the pride of Punjab Police, and that all possible measures will continue to be taken for the encouragement and patronage of police athletes. Director General Pakistan Police Sports Board Additional IG Imran Arshad, Patron Wushu Games Additional IG Shahzada Sultan and Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail also paid tribute to the winning athletes.
