Punjab Police continue comprehensive financial support for police personnel facing legal cases and prosecutions
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed cheques worth Rs. 1 million among police employees
So far, Rs. 29.8 million have been distributed among police employees facing legal cases.
Punjab Police is actively providing financial assistance to police officials facing legal cases and prosecutions. On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, financial aid is being provided to officers and officials from the special Legal Endowment Fund to cover legal expenses. Continuing this initiative, the IG Punjab distributed cheques worth Rs. 1 million among police employees from various districts to meet the expenses of ongoing cases. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details, said that four police employees were given Rs. 250,000 each as Legal Financial Assistance. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Javed Akhtar, Constable Muhammad Ijaz, Muhammad Naeem, and Kashif Sharif were given cheques worth Rs. 250,000 each under Legal Financial Assistance.
IG Punjab said that every possible assistance will continue for employees facing legal cases during the performance of their duties. No officer or official who faces prosecution for the sake of the department will be left alone. Punjab Police spokesperson further shared that under Legal Financial Assistance, a total amount of Rs. 29.8 million has so far been distributed among affected police employees in various districts. On this occasion, DIG SPU & Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin was also present. IG Punjab also highly appreciated the police employees who are facing legal cases for the sake of the department.
