Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released Rs3.15 million for the welfare and rehabilitation of special children of police employees suffering from Cerebral Palsy and mental challenges. According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, 105 special children have been granted Rs30,000 each under the welfare initiative. The spokesperson added that a monthly stipend of Rs10,000 per child is being provided to those suffering from Cerebral Palsy, while a total of Rs62.35 million has been disbursed so far this year for their treatment and support. Dr. Usman Anwar said that all available resources are being utilized to ensure the care, rehabilitation, and secure future of police employees’ special children. He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding welfare programs aimed at making their lives easier, dignified, and better.
