LAHORE - Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute to the police martyrs on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of 14 police officers who embraced martyrdom in three different terrorist attacks in Lahore. IG Punjab said that we salute the great sons who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and their families. Punjab Police will never forget the eternal sacrifices of its brave sons. Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, said that on this very day in 2009, terrorists targeted three different locations: Elite Police Training School, Police Training School Manawan, and the FIA Building. In these attacks, 14 police officers and officials embraced martyrdom. In the terrorist attack on Police Training School Manawan, 10 police officials were martyred; in the attack on Elite Police Training School, 3 officials were martyred; while in the attack on the FIA Building, one police officer embraced martyrdom.
