Punjab Police’s pilot project, "Tahaffuz Darsgah", is beginning to yield outstanding results. Abdul Rehman, a talented transgender student enrolled in the initiative, has successfully passed the Intermediate Part-I examination with 70% marks. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated and commended Abdul Rehman on this remarkable academic achievement. IG Punjab said that this success stands as clear evidence of the safe, dignified, and constructive educational environment provided by the Punjab Police through "Tahaffuz Darsgah."
Dr. Usman Anwar further emphasized that "Tahaffuz Darsgah" serves as a shelter, a support system, and a source of hope for homeless, abandoned, and displaced transgender children. The facility provides residence, food, education, and vocational training, enabling these children to rebuild their lives with dignity. He said that the initiative has become a symbol of restored confidence and a guarantee of a brighter future for transgender youth. IG Punjab also highlighted that comprehensive welfare measures are being implemented for the education, training, and overall well-being of transgender children. In collaboration with the UK Curriculum and Accreditation Body, Punjab Police is ensuring the delivery of quality education and training at "Tahaffuz Darsgah."
