Lahore - Punjab Police remained on high alert at churches across the province, including Lahore, in view of Christian prayer programs and services. Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar, while instructing RPOs and DPOs to further enhance security arrangements, directed that supervisory officers personally inspect security at churches and other important sites. Additional police personnel and snipers have been deployed at sensitive churches to ensure comprehensive security. He emphasised that Dolphin Squad, PRU, and Elite Force teams should carry out effective patrolling around churches and adjoining areas.
