Kacha Dacoits Attack Patrolling Police Van in Bangla Achha Jurisdiction
Elite official Nasir Mirani Martyred, Two Policemen Injured in Attack by Dacoits: Police Spokesperson
In the jurisdiction of Police Station Bangla Achha in Rajanpur, Kacha dacoits attacked a patrolling police van. As a result of the firing by the dacoits, elite police official Nasir Mirani was martyred while two other officials were injured. The injured police officials, driver Constable Mehmood and Elite Constable Sanaullah, were shifted to the hospital for initial medical aid.Inspector General Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from RPO Dera Ghazi Khan. Paying tribute to the great sacrifice of the brave elite official Nasir Mirani who attained martyrdom in the line of duty, IG Punjab said that the injured police officials must be provided with the best medical treatment facilities. IG Punjab directed DPO Rajanpur to utilize all available resources for the arrest of the culprits involved in the firing. IG Punjab said that Punjab Police will not leave the family of the martyred Constable Nasir Mirani alone and will ensure their full welfare and support.Following the incident, a heavy police contingent led by DPO Rajanpur Farooq Amjad reached the scene. A prolonged and intense exchange of gunfire took place between the Rajanpur Police and the dacoits.
