Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) is actively engaged across the province’s highways for the service, protection of citizens, and enforcement of laws. In continuation of this mission, PHP has issued the performance report for September 2025. Punjab Police spokesperson, while sharing details, shared that PHP checked 3.6 million individuals on highways through the E-Police Post App. During checking, 404 proclaimed offenders and court absconders were arrested. Across Punjab’s highways, 2 million vehicles were checked, while 248 stolen vehicles and motorcycles were recovered. Legal action was taken against 34,945 overloaded vehicles for axle load violations. Action was also taken against 1,104 vehicles for illegal use of gas cylinders. For the convenience of citizens, 19,653 driving licenses were issued.

 

It was further shared that PHP reunited 48 missing children with their parents, while 5,502 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed to improve the flow of traffic. A total of 18,509 passengers were provided with various types of assistance and guidance on highways. At Police Service Centers, 20,830 citizens were provided with different policing services. Regarding illegal weapons, 18 cases were registered, and from the possession of the accused, 02 rifles, 16 pistols, and hundreds of bullets were recovered. Similarly, from drug dealers, 1,255 liters of liquor, 632 grams of charas, and 157 grams of ice were recovered. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the excellent performance of PHP and said that for smooth traffic flow, as well as the service and protection of citizens, officers and personnel should perform their duties with more sincerity, hard work, and responsibility.
