Jummah Mubarak: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to enhance security across the province.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has directed to enhance security arrangements across the province including Lahore on the occasion of Jummah Mubarak. He emphasized that security of mosques, Imambargahs, shrines, and important places must be ensured at all costs. He said that mosques play a very important role in societal reform and in ensuring peace and justice. IG Punjab instructed DPOs and senior police officers to visit local mosques on the occasion of Jummah Mubarak and listen to public grievances after the Friday prayers. He said that in accordance with the spirit and teachings of Islam, mosques are being made centers of community engagement so that citizens can directly share their issues with the police. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that the need and importance of mosques in societal reform, development, and progress is extremely vital. Senior officers should listen to citizens' concerns at their doorstep through mosques and also inform them about the services and facilities being provided by the police.
