Punjab Police continue search, sweep and combing operations across the province including Lahore.
During the last 24 hours, 379 combing operations were carried out, 10,140 suspects were checked, 39 suspicious persons were taken into custody, illegal weapons and ammunition recovered, Punjab Police Spokesperson.
Punjab Police have intensified search, sweep and combing operations across the province including Lahore. In continuation of these operations, 379 combing operations were conducted during the last 24 hours. During these operations, 10,140 suspects were checked while 39 suspicious persons were taken into custody. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that during 31 search and sweep operations, more than 3,267 persons were interrogated and 02 suspects were taken into custody. 152 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes, 41 court absconders and 20 habitual criminals were also arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminal and suspicious persons.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, during the actions 13 criminals were brought to justice while 03 were arrested in injured condition. Inspector General Punjab said that the series of search, sweep and combing operations will be continued to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable.
