Additional Rs. 2.2 million released for medical expenses of injured officials serving in Lahore and other districts.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is committed to providing the best medical treatment to police Ghazis injured during duty. In continuation of this commitment, an additional amount of Rs. 2.2 million has been released for the medical expenses of injured personnel from Lahore and other districts. Sharing details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that injured Traffic Assistant Waqar Nadeem has been given Rs. 1 million for medical expenses. Injured Constable Zahoor Ahmad was provided Rs. 0.5 million for medical treatment. Injured Constables Mazhar Hussain and Asghar Ali were given Rs. 0.35 million each. Punjab Police spokesperson further shared that these officers and officials were injured in different incidents while performing their duties. The Compensation Award Committee, chaired by Additional IG Welfare & Finance Imran Arshad, approved the disbursement of funds. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that providing the best treatment and ensuring the earliest possible recovery of police Ghazis is a top priority, and every possible support will continue for this purpose. Dr. Usman Anwar directed supervisory officers to leave no stone unturned for the health and welfare of injured personnel.
