Security of Chinese Nationals priority: IGP Dr Usman

Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired an important video-link meeting at the Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Investigation Punjab Shahzada Sultan, Additional IG Training Tariq Rustam Chauhan, DIG IT Rana Mansoor-ul-Haq, AIG Operations, AIG Development, AIG Admin & Security, and other senior officers. Commandant PC Additional IG Syed Khurram Ali Shah, DIG SPU Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, RPOs of Rawalpindi and Sargodha regions, DPOs, and District Traffic Officers participated via video-link. The meeting reviewed in detail crime control, prevention of traffic accidents and overloading, increase in driving licensing, and overall police administrative matters. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that DPOs and the Special Protection Unit, through mutual consultation, must ensure the security of Chinese experts and nationals working on public and private projects. Rawalpindi and Sargodha regions, in consultation with Commandant PC, must immediately address shortages of personnel in the police constabulary. IG Punjab instructed that records in HRMIS and PSRIMS should be kept verified and complete. Full use of police applications including e-Gadget, e-Post, Smart Eye, and Tenant Registration must be ensured. He emphasized that Rawalpindi and Sargodha regions should further accelerate work on police development schemes in their districts.
