Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has initiated outstanding healthcare programs for Punjab Police personnel, aimed at ensuring their health and well-being. In a video message, DIG Welfare and Finance Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin said that, on the special directives of the Chief Minister, multiple modern and free healthcare initiatives are currently underway for police personnel and their families.
He said that under the Chief Minister Children’s Heart Surgery Program, free surgeries are being conducted for the children of police personnel suffering from heart ailments. Similarly, under the Chief Minister’s Special Initiative for Transplant Program, free organ transplant facilities are being provided to police personnel and their families.
He further said that under the Insulin at Doorstep Program, insulin is being provided free of cost at the doorsteps of diabetic police personnel and their families. In addition, in various hospitals across Punjab, police personnel suffering from heart disease are also being provided free facilities in catheterization labs.
DIG Welfare and Finance added that police personnel and their families can also fully benefit from the Sehat Sahulat Program for the treatment of various illnesses. In this regard, a detailed directive has been sent to all unit heads, including RPOs, CPOs, and DPOs, so that they can inform personnel and their families about the procedure and plan for availing these facilities.
