Drug-Free Punjab: Punjab Police’s anti-narcotics operations continue across the province.
245 raids conducted and 136 drug dealers arrested within 24 hours. Punjab Police Spokesperson.
On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, anti-narcotics operations are underway across the province under the “Drug-Free Punjab” vision. Sharing the details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that within the last 24 hours, 245 raids were conducted at the hideouts of drug dealers and 136 drug dealers were arrested. During these operations, 83 kilograms of charas, 9 kilograms of ice, 6 kilograms of heroin, and 1,118 liters of liquor were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals.
IG Punjab directed that special operations against drug dealers and smugglers should be further intensified. All those involved in the drug supply chain must be apprehended and brought to justice with strict punishments. IG Punjab further said that action should be accelerated against individuals involved in drug peddling around educational institutions and hostels to protect the younger generation from the menace of drugs.
