IG Punjab committed to providing the best medical treatment for special children of police employees
This year, over Rs. 125.5 million distributed for the treatment of special children of police employees posted in Lahore and various other districts.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is committed to providing the best medical care and treatment for the special children of police employees. Continuing this commitment, more than Rs. 125.5 million have been released this year for the treatment of special children of police personnel posted in Lahore and various other districts.
Sharing the details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that this year, Rs. 29.88 million were released for cochlear implant surgeries of 18 children. A total of over Rs. 56.2 million was provided to 632 cerebral palsy-affected children at a rate of Rs. 10,000 per month. For the medical expenses of 161 thalassemia-affected children, Rs. 15,000 per month per child was disbursed, amounting to a total of Rs. 14.13 million. Furthermore, over Rs. 12.38 million were provided for the treatment of 74 children suffering from various serious illnesses. Rs. 7.8 million were allocated for 15 children undergoing cancer treatment and bone marrow transplants. Additionally, Rs. 3.87 million were given for major heart and kidney surgeries of 13 children. For the treatment of 17 children suffering from different hearing impairments, over Rs. 1.227 million were allocated.
IG Punjab said that comprehensive steps are being taken for the treatment and rehabilitation of special children of police personnel. Welfare initiatives are underway to make the lives of these children easier and more dignified.
