Jumma-tul-Mubarak: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to enhance security across Punjab.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has directed to enhance security arrangements across the province, including Lahore, on the occasion of Jumma-tul-Mubarak. IG Punjab directed that security of mosques, Imambargahs, shrines, and important locations must be ensured while emphasizing that mosques play an important role in the reformation of society and the provision of peace and justice.
IG Punjab directed DPOs and senior police officers to visit local mosques on the occasion of Jumma-tul-Mubarak and instructed that police officers should listen to citizens’ issues in mosques after Friday prayers. IG Punjab said that mosques are being made centers of community engagement in line with the true spirit and teachings of Islam. He added that the need and importance of mosques in the reformation, development, and progress of society is extremely significant. IG Punjab further said that senior officers should listen to citizens’ problems at their doorsteps through the platform of mosques and also inform them about the services and facilities being provided by the police.
