A 9 member delegation of Overseas Pakistanis met with Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman at Central Police Office, Lahore. President Lahore Press Club, Arshad Ansari leads the delegation.
The delegates informed the IGP regarding the problems being faced by them relating to help desk established for Overseas Pakistanis in Police Department. The delegation asked the IGP to make the role of these help desks more effective, it is necessary that media should be given representation in these help desks.
The delegation also told the PPO that Overseas Journalists will give hundred thousand rupees cash award to each family of district Gujrat Police Shuhda at a special ceremony which will be arranged very shortly.
IGP assured the delegation to redress their difficulties and problems and also extended his full support and cooperation for the overseas journalists.
The delegation included Ch. Ijaz Hussain Pyara (Europe), Ch. Allah Ditta (England), Ch. Javaid Iqbal (Norway), Shakeel Ahmad Zaka (Italy), Ch. Muhammad Naeem (Convener Overseas Wazahati Committee), Ch. Faisal Iqbal (Germany), Ch. Iftikhar (Italy), Masood Zafar (Germany) and Moeen Ahmad (Saudi Arab).
