On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parade was held across the province, including Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the parade, while the contingents taking part presented salute. Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, Investigation Wing, and Operations Wing personnel from various police stations actively participated in the general parade.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, during the parade, senior officers also checked the turnout of personnel. The well-prepared contingents of the force carried out an impressive march-past, while women personnel also participated in the parade. The spokesperson further shared that general parades are being held regularly every Monday across the province. On this occasion, district officers also inspected the Kot, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouse, and other sections.
IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the purpose of the general parade is to keep personnel ever-alert and to promote discipline, unity, and brotherhood among them. The parade is the best reflection of any force’s discipline, history, heritage, and tradition. Through the general parade, officers and personnel maintain their fitness and the overall performance of the force is further enhanced.
