Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, continues his mission to provide shelter to the families of police martyrs. As part of this initiative, IG Punjab has handed over a new home to the family of another police officer who laid down his life in the line of duty. Sharing the details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police shared that the family of martyred ASI Muhammad Nawaz has been given a house worth Rs. 17.5 million. The house was purchased in a private housing society in Lahore, as per the family's preference. Punjab Police spokesperson further said that ASI Muhammad Nawaz was martyred in 2024 when robbers opened fire at a checkpoint during his duty. The martyred officer is survived by his wife and two sons. Thanks to the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released the necessary funds for the house of the martyr’s family. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifice of ASI Muhammad Nawaz, stating that the officer embraced martyrdom while fulfilling his duties without regard for his own life.
