A special training session on the Punjab Government's new E-Procurement System and PEPRA rules was held at the Central Police Office. MD PEPRA, Sahibzadi Wasima Umar, briefed senior police officers about the features, usage, and PEPRA rules regarding the E-Procurement System. All senior officers, unit heads, and DIGs of the Central Police Office participated in the training session.
MD PEPRA, Sahibzadi Wasima Umar, said that under the Punjab Government’s E-Procurement Project, procurement for all government institutions has been moved online. Through the E-Procurement System, all departments can now place orders online in accordance with rules and regulations. All stages, including bidding, evaluation, and ordering, are conducted online. In developed countries, all procurement stages are carried out through online systems. This online system is reducing costs and saving valuable time. The online procurement system will bring more transparency to the procurement process. Government institutions will have the opportunity to procure better quality goods at lower prices. During the training session, the participating officers also asked various questions regarding the features and procedure of the E-Procurement System.
