Punjab Police Dera Ghazi Khan achieved a major success by foiling the terror plot of fatna al Khawarij. Providing details, the Punjab Police Spokesperson said that Dera Ghazi Khan Police thwarted the nefarious plan of terrorists in the tribal area of Thana Vohwa, Jadey Wali. Dera Ghazi Khan Police, SOU, and Elite teams conducted a search operation in the border area of Jade Wali. During the operation, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted near the Jade Wali Graveyard was recovered and defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
The spokesperson added that the IED planted by Khawarij terrorists had been aimed at targeting security forces; however, timely action saved the area from a major tragedy. During the search operation, police and security forces cordoned off the area to ensure complete security. The ongoing operation at the Punjab Khyber Pakhtunkhwa border was directly supervised by RPO Capt. (R) Sajjad Hassan Khan and DPO D.G. Khan. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended Dera Ghazi Khan Police for foiling the terrorist plot. DPO Dera Ghazi Khan said that police and forces are continuing search operations in tribal and sensitive areas.
