Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is committed to the health welfare of his force and their families, under which an additional Rs. 2.26 million has been released for the treatment of police employees and their families. Providing details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that Constable Muhammad Ishaq was granted Rs. 1.5 million for bone marrow transplant and cancer treatment. Driver Constable Muhammad Ashfaq was given Rs. 200,000 for bladder treatment, while Constable Sami Ullah was given Rs. 200,000 for cardiac treatment. Constable Ahmad Raza was granted Rs. 150,000 for medical treatment. Sub-Inspector Shaukat Ali Sohail, the widow of late ASI Babar Ali, and Lady Constable Madiha Noreen were collectively granted Rs. 210,000 for treatment. IG Punjab approved the disbursement of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Usman Anwar said that under MOUs with various institutions, police employees are also being provided with the best medical facilities.
