Juma tul Mubarak: IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed to Enhance Security Across the Province
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed to increase security across Lahore and the entire province. He emphasized ensuring the security of mosques, Imambargahs, shrines, and important locations. He said that the mosques play a vital role in social reform and the provision of peace and justice. IG Punjab instructed DPOs and senior police officers to visit local mosques on the occasion of Friday prayer and listen to citizens’ issues after the prayer. He said that according to the spirit and teachings of Islam, mosques are being established as centers of community engagement. The necessity and utility of mosques in social reform, development, and progress are extremely important. IG Punjab further said that senior officers should address citizens’ problems at their doorstep through mosques and also make them aware of the services and facilities provided by the police.
