Central Police Office: Ceremony Honoring Seven Retired SPs of Punjab Police

A ceremony was held at the Central Police Office to honor seven retired SPs of Punjab Police. The retired SPs met with Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. IG Punjab thanked the retired SPs for their valuable services to the police department. The retired SPs included Muhammad Qaiser Mushtaq, Muhammad Shahzad, Mahmood Azam Khan, Riaz Ahmad, Qudoos Baig, Faisal Gulzar, and Ghiyas-ud-Din. IG Punjab directed the establishment of an automated system to benefit from the experiences and services of retired police officers. On this occasion, IG Punjab said that the pension, GP fund, and all other issues of retired SPs are being resolved promptly. The health and educational welfare of retired police employees and their families is a top priority. Retired police officers should provide training to the force in law and order control, technical, and investigation matters. Retired officers can prove highly beneficial for the force in training and investigation affairs. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the experience and suggestions of retired officers should also be utilized to control terrorism and extremism. The retired officers thanked IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for the recognition and honor given by the department. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that IG Punjab also presented all retired SPs with souvenir book titled “Thane Punjab De” based on the upgradation of Punjab Police stations. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Captain (Retd.) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIG Inspection Shaista Nadeem, and other officers were also present at the ceremony.
