Punjab Police continued search, sweep, and combing operations across the province including Lahore. In continuation of these operations, during the last 24 hours, 447 combing operations were conducted, more than 13,660 suspected individuals were checked, and 42 suspicious persons were taken into custody. Punjab Police spokesperson, while sharing details, shared that 25 search and sweep operations were carried out, more than 2,830 individuals were interrogated, and 02 suspected persons were taken into custody. As many as 322 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes, 141 court absconders, and 92 habitual criminals were also arrested. A large quantity of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of criminal and suspicious elements. During the operations against criminals, 06 offenders were brought to justice while 09 were arrested in injured condition. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that search, sweep, and combing operations will continue to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable.
