Performance report of July 2025 issued: 4.1 million individuals checked through E-Police Post App on highways; 428 proclaimed offenders and court absconders arrested.
Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) remains actively engaged across the highways of the province to ensure public service, protection, and enforcement of laws. Continuing its efforts, PHP has issued its performance report for the month of July 2025. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, PHP checked 4.1 million individuals via the E-Police Post App during July. During these checks, 428 proclaimed offenders and court absconders were arrested. Across Punjab’s highways, 1.9 million vehicles were checked, and 310 stolen vehicles/motorcycles were recovered. Legal action was taken against 39,537 overloaded vehicles for violating axle load regulations. Action was taken against 869 vehicles for illegal use of gas cylinders. For citizens’ convenience, 23,713 driving licenses were issued. A total of 66 missing children were reunited with their parents, and 3,741 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed to improve traffic flow. 14,577 passengers were provided with various forms of assistance and guidance on the highways. At Police Khidmat Marakaz 26,126 citizens were provided with various policing services. In cases of illegal weapons possession, 37 FIRs were registered, and from the accused, 5 Kalashnikovs, 5 rifles, 27 pistols, and hundreds of bullets were recovered. From drug dealers, 1,066 liters of liquor, 2,340 grams of charas, 20 grams of heroin, and 80 grams of ice (crystal meth) were recovered. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has lauded PHP for its excellent performance. Dr. Usman Anwar directed police officers to perform their duties with utmost dedication and sincerity for the smooth flow of traffic and the protection and service of citizens.
