Punjab Police Crackdown on Most-Wanted Fugitives and Habitual Offenders in Full Swing

 

Punjab Police’s province-wide crackdown against absconders wanted in heinous crimes and court fugitives is  continuing with full force. According to details, a total of 83,571 proclaimed offenders have been arrested across the province so far this year, including 28,794 from Category A and 54,777 from Category B. In addition, 33,905 court fugitives have been apprehended, with 7,376 belonging to Category A and 26,529 to Category B. Punjab Police also arrested 17,580 habitual criminals, comprising 6,785 from Category A and 10,795 from Category B. In the provincial capital Lahore alone, 18,053 proclaimed offenders, 13,540 court fugitives, and 7,395 habitual criminals have been arrested. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, commended the police teams for their performance and directed that the crackdown against fugitives and habitual offenders be further intensified across the province.
